Provider of custom programming, data management solutions and technology research.

                                                                                                                                                              

Projects include:

  1. Developed Access database to bridge data between client's accounting software (QuickBooks) and enterprise database application (Eyecare Advantage) to automate closeout reconciliations for multiple stores. New process improved procedure performance time by 50-70% and increased accuracy to almost 100%.
  2. Developed capability to batch send meeting confirmation notices to meeting registrants via e-mail.
  3. Modified corporate website (over 200 pages) to reference a single included header file and footer file using Perl to define the batch replace.
  4. Transferred organization’s website from Unix server to IIS server and modified Perl scripts to ensure compatibility on new platform.

Donors Forum of Chicago is a nonprofit, regional membership association of grant makers, individual donors, advisors and nonprofit organizations. It provides networking opportunities, education and information to the philanthropic sector.

 

  1. Created IT department, institutionalized technology policies, devised technology orientation for employees and documented technology infrastructure.
  2. Developed Crystal Reports to enable accounting and membership departments to review and analyze financial, participation, and demographic data in enterprise system (iMIS).
  3. Developed custom applications and implemented third-party software for departments as needed.
  4. Maintained network, servers, databases, equipment, software and online systems.
  5. Supervised one staff person, two interns and technology consultants.

United Process Group was a small, start-up, application services provider that developed and hosted online, multi-tiered, e-commerce applications for manufacturers of industrial systems.  Technologies included Java, JSP, Weblogic, SQL Server 7.0, ODBC.

 

  1. Designed and built components for prototype decision-engine application with R & D team.
  2. Created databases, configuration models, and data models of complex products and systems using Calico Advisor software, SQL Server 7.0, Access, and XML for multi-tier, e-commerce applications.
  3. Developed and documented modeling methodology and trained associate to utilize it.
  4. Advised team of technological benefits and limitations of decision engine systems.
  5. Created test cases and unit-tested models.

The Premisys Corporation, a Microsoft Certified Solutions Provider, created CustomWorks, a development environment for building decision-aiding applications that generate on-the-fly, to-scale, 2-D and 3-D drawings.  J.D. Edwards acquired Premisys March 1999, and CustomWorks was integrated into J.D. Edwards’s ERP system.

 

  1. Designed and created event-driven, custom sales and design applications for manufacturers of customizable products.
  2. Modeled product lines; programmed 3-D parametric graphical representations with complex algebraic and geometric equations; programmed product, engineering, and pricing rules; created intuitive VB-control graphical user interfaces invoking COM objects; and linked GUI to data stored in Excel, Access and abstract data structures using VBScript.
  3. Authored instructional materials, and trained clients and consultants.
